Throughout the day we integrate biblical stories, principles, testimonies and fun activities that allow campers to grow in their faith. The unique games and camp design are indicative of it's founder who values making sure everyone feels included, everyone has fun, everyone gets exercise, everyone is respectful, everyone feels competitively challenged and everyone hears an accurate message of who Jesus is. 

MORNING: Campers stay with their teams in the morning while playing in highly inclusive yet competitive non-traditional games, many of which involve Gator Skin Nerf Balls and Nerf Soft Swords.  These highly creative games that are loved by every camper help to bond the teammates and coaches together.  It also allows their coaches to reinforce our POWER CAMP & PCA life message delivered the first 15min of each day. 

AFTERNOON: Campers get to engage in fun discussions about their faith following a dynamic speaker who shares about their own journey with Jesus.  Campers get to enjoy our famed GO ZONEFree Choice Period where they decide between a myriad of structured activities all across campus. They simply LOVE to decide what fun activity to do! Their choices include more traditional sports like soccer, basketball, whiffle-ball, hockey, swimming at some locations, and many more. Additionally, one station is always the GO ZONE Activity Arcade which has indoor activities like ping pong, air hockey, arts & crafts, yoga, dance, board games, balloon ball, etc.  All activities are well organized and led by our coaching staff. We wrap up the camp day by coming back together with their coach and teammates for one final team game before dismissing with an icy treat. 

MESSAGE: Campers will hear our POWER CAMPmessage as well as our larger camp concept principles delivered through the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) message.  We teach the campers explicitly each morning, mid-day and end of camp but we also scatter bits & pieces throughout every activity.  Our messages are the umbrella over all that we do at Bald Eagle, particularly at POWER CAMP. Beyond the elaborate programming standards, the biggest difference between Bald Eagle and our competitors really is the culture generated by the camp message. Our Coaches are not only mature in their Christian faith, but they are also PCA Certified Double Goal Coaches who are committed to creating an environment that is empowering, uplifting, inclusive and encouraging. That commitment translates to the campers and they too strive to reach their own personal mountain top.  Isn’t that what youth sports should do? At Bald Eagle it really happens!

The camp proceeds go to support Fellowship Of Christian Athletes (FCA), an outreach ministry on school campuses nationwide.

Coach Bob is the Founder & CEO of Bald Eagle Sports Camps. He has taught Special Ed and PE since 1995, currently at Los Altos HS. Coach Bob has over 25 years coaching experience from youth to collegiate, is a Certified Positive Coaching Alliance Trainer and holds two Credentials along with a Masters in Special Education.  Coach Bob is a Co-Founder of TRUSALUS, a tech platform specializing in peak performance and injury recovery in youth athletes.  Lastly, he has served for nearly 2 decades as a Board Member of the largest youth recreation league in the region, Foothill Youth Basketball. 

As the previous Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Los Altos High School, Coach Bob led the Eagles to 2 SCVAL titles ('13,'14) and the schools first ever Central Coast Section Championship (2015). Bald Eagle Camps has been profiled in PCA's books and Coach Bob was named by PCA as a Development Zone Leadership Fellow.  Coach Bob believes children should have a place to feel encouraged, included, cared for, safe from bullying, free from negativity and expected to have as much fun as possible. At the same time, children need direction on how to be their best person in every given moment.
